| Personal History | Background: Jerome was born in New York City, Earth where he spent the majority of his life. Both his parents worked as engineers on Earth who never felt the need to leave the planet. Immediately after Jerome was born his mother found herself once again pregnant with another child. A nine months later his brother Devon was born. Unlike most siblings these two got along quite well growing up. Both brothers always showed an interest in joining Starfleet, but it wasn't until they visited their older cousin Kenneth was where he made up his mind. At the Academy, Jerome majored in the Flight Control field. Being the oldest, Jerome was clearly the first to arrive at Starfleet Academy. He majored in Flight Control while minoring in operations. When his brother Devon showed up the following year, Jerome had no issue taking his younger brother under his wing. By his Junior year at the Academy, he realized that Devon had intentionally pulled away from him and their friends opting to start creating his own friend groups. For the first time, he realized that his brother was definitely making his own path and that their lives were truly growing a part. Upon graduating from the academy, the young man ended up assigned to the USS Campbell, which was assigned to the Gamma Quadrant. A few later due to the extreme damages to the USS Campbell during the battle with the Borg in 2385, Jerome and many other members of the crew were transferred to the USS Victory, a Galaxy Class II ship. On the USS Victory, Jerome decided to switch over to Chief Operations Officer. This was a position that he had been dabbling in over the years, since it was close to Flight Control. It was also during this time where he met Warrant Officer Talon Yamaguchi, Tactical Officer. The two quickly become friends, but over a span of a year they become closer deciding to enter a serious relationship after almost being on a mission in Breen space. After doing extremely well in his position, Captain Dartano promoted him to Lt. Commander in 2387. In 2388, Jerome and Talon were married aboard the Victory and later that year gave birth to twins Perea and Othello Hunt. In 2390, Hunt and his wife thought it would be good for their family to experience life outside of a starship. With a third child on the way, the two put in and accepted positions at Starfleet Academy. Returning back to his first love, Jerome began teaching Flight Control to Cadets. By the summer the two welcomed their third child Marie Hunt. Over the next couple of years, he was happy with teaching and being a family man. But around the third of teaching, Hunt couldn't but wonder what his next move was going to be. His goal was to eventually earn a command of his own. Deciding to take advantage of where he was currently assigned, Jerome decided to begin training in Strategic Operations. Three years later, word got around with his desire to work his way in command and looking for a posting in need of a Strategic Operations Officer. An offer quickly came from the Captain of Xindus Station who also had an available spot open for his wife Talon as a Security Officer. Upon arriving on Xindus Station with his family, Hunt was assigned as Chief Strategic Operations Officer for the region, along with becoming Second Officer for the station. This came with a promotion to Commander. During the next four years his career was going well, but his marriage began to struggle. Talon had realized that she was more focused on his goals to achieve his own command, that she often struggled with where things would go with her own career. When a position for an Executive Officer came open on the USS Valkyrie, Hunt once again packed up his family to move. But in the back of his mind, he knows that Talon is still searching for her own path to sucess in her career. |
