In Earth's Norse mythology a Valkyrie was a symbol of fairness and honor; a bright shining example in the cold and dark of the north. She was a supernatural being that flew over land and sea searching and protecting those she cared for. A Valkyrie was charged with finding those warriors worthy to enter the halls of Valhalla.
Are you worthy?
Come, test your metal aboard the USS Valkyrie.
The year is 2400 and a new century has dawned. So much has happened in the last 25 years. The Dominion War ended, The USS Voyager returned from the Delta Quadrant, and the Romulan Empire opened up to the Federation. With the rebuilding of the fleet, the new technology brought back by Voyager, and the stabilization of the region a new age has dawned for the Federation.
The Borg are a fading threat, Romulan relations are still improving, the Cardassians are still causing trouble and full of bluster, and the Klingons are, well..., still Klingons. With Federation's return to its core mission of exploration, they are once again answering the call of the unknown. As Picard once said, “...the unknown is what brings us out here”.
One of the newest ships brought into service is the USS Valkyrie, a Vesta class starship equipped with state of the art technologies, including a Quantum Slipstream Drive (QSD). With a QSD at their disposal the unknown has opened up like never before.

About the Valkyrie...
- We operate in a Nemesis timeline. Meaning we do not follow the events set in motion by the Abrams Star Trek. In other words - Romulus is still intact. This means we operate with most of the technology from Picard but get to write our own path, unbound by the limits set forth in the Abrams movies (Kelvin timeline), DSC, PIC, PRO, LD, or SNW.
- We are an 18+, Nova platform simulation with a RPG rating of:

[Kurul's Home]
Dareem arrived outside of his old friend's home. The lights inside were low, the hour deep enough that even the local insects has become selective about when they sang.
He paused at the threshold, listening. He could not tell if Kurul or his family were sleeping.
Dareem knocked anyway.
It was late but Kurul had always been a night owl and with all the evens of the recent days he had much to think about. Sipping from his tea, he surprised at the knock at such a late hour. Setting his up a side he moved to and…

The candle between them shifted and bent, its small flame flickering by the draft from under the door.
"We are here," Dareem replied, "because a warbird has returned to us."
Posrun, the young Romulan who had never known life outside of the settlement, slid into the room along with several other younger men. He crossed his arms and watched the elders, his back against the far wall.
There were several glances and questioning looks back and forth amongst the others.
Dareem and Posrun where both elected Councilors and the only members of their group that had been to the Federation…

[Kurul's home]
Returning home he placed the bottle of Kali-fal on the table as his wife came in from the back with a steaming cup of tea. Taking a seat at the table she placed the cup in front of him as she sat next to him. "Thank you."
She watched as he sipped his tea. He closed his eyes as he relaxed his shoulders. "What was it like?"
"Amazing. So much has changed since the time I was in the service of the Romulan Empire. But there are also many things that have changed only a little."
"Like what?"…

Mission: What was Lost is Found
Posted on Wed Mar 11th, 2026 @ 8:05pm by Ensign Garath Of the House of Varal [Baas] & Lieutenant JG Christian Rogers & Ensign Willow Oakley & Lieutenant JG Adam Taggart
The ship was above the planet where Starfleet and Romulans were living together in peace. Taggart wanted to have a conference with Rogers to see what his take was on all of this, and well, get things organized. He went to the office, to get set up for a meeting. When the door didn't activate, and there was no sign of Rogers at all he frowned. Tapping on his commbadge,
"Lieutenant Rogers, would you come to your office please." Taggart's voice coming out a little bit gruff.
Garath was completing a few tasks and glanced over his shoulder at the…

Mission: What was Lost is Found
Posted on Sun Mar 1st, 2026 @ 2:47pm by Lieutenant JG V'Laros & Petty Officer 2nd Class Sizia Sh'velihr [Baas] & Lieutenant Urushi Yaotome
[Shuttle bay]
As the away teams surveyed the surface and the settlement leadership was on there tour V'Laros suggested a survey of the planets atmosphere. They had taken several scans but the idea of collecting samples of the atmosphere had been raised as well.
He had raised a bow at the idea of a 'direct' sampling as they could easily beam any number of sample aboard directly to a lab but the others were less than logical.
Stepping out of the shuttle to find Yaotome checking the sampling containers that had been mounted. "The shuttle is...". His sentence cut off…
