| General Overview | Willow loves trees and the outdoors. When possible, she will spend time on the arboretum. She also loves to learn about what makes starships work, so she likes to poke around in the Jefferies' tubes and access panels to learn more. She is cheerful and smiles often |

| Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: She's a quick learner and always willing to do her part. She's generally cheerful and friendly. Because she is slim, she can get into smaller spaces than most. This helps her in her work. She is graceful and has excellent balance—most of the time. Weaknesses In spite of her best intentions—or even because of them—accidents tend to happen around her. (Most of the time she can fix them, but still…) She tends to keep to herself when she's working. Partly because she gets focused on her work, and partly because she doesn't want anyone around on those occasions when something goes wrong. Her grandmother says she's fey cursed because she chose to leave her home world and join Starfleet. Her father thinks she just has bad luck—or is simply too inexperienced. Her home world did not have many sweets, so now that she's traveling a lot, she has to sample the desserts and sweets of the different worlds. She can be a little naive. |

| Personal History | Willow grew up the youngest child, and so was often given the more menial chores. That is, until her older siblings went to school to learn how to run their parent's tree farm. She spent a lot of time among the trees, looking for signs of rot or infestations. She often thought she could hear the trees talking to each other. But her parents said she was being fanciful—even though her grandmother said they were descended from the Fae. She would occasionally talk about it with her gran, but she quickly learned to say nothing at home. As she grew, she was given more responsibilities and developed a love for computers and programming. When she was a teenager, her family gave her the job of making sure all the automated systems ran well and to fix them when they didn't. She began to study how to repair the equipment in her free time so she could better help out. When she was finally able to go with her father to talk to a starship captain about a supply of trees and nuts for a number of Federation starships, she had a new obsession. When she turned 18, she asked her parents if she could take the Starfleet entrance exam and was told no. Not while her older siblings were off-world attending university. She had to wait until she was 20 and her brother came home to help run the tree farm. Her family fully expected her to fail the exam and return to them—except for Rowan who was working at the nearby starport. But she didn't. Her father ordered her to stay home because no one in their family ever left the planet. Instead, she packed everything she wanted to keep, then hugged her parents and left. She didn't speak to them again until she graduated and was given some time off to go home. Her parents are still not happy with her decision, but they are resigned to it. And for now, she gets to travel from planet to planet, learning about other trees and keeping the starship running. |
