"Gonzalez, Hudson," Urushi said. "Check out where that piece of wall fell." She ordered. She then turned to Aseek. "What is the construction of these buildings? That wall wouldn't just collapse without some sort of force being applied upon it..." Urushi explained.

"Most of the building is underground. The embryo cryopods were assembled and stored here, my team were medically screened and prepared for hibernation, launch command and all the control and archive computers are there."

Wallace waved Gonzalez and Hudson as they looked his way, "You heard her." He glanced to the Lieutenant mouthing an apology.

Moving towards the site of the disturbance Gonzalez swept back and forth from his 12 to 9 o'clock before up the wall and back down. "Clear."

Hudson moved forward, to the next part. He glanced back towards where Lambert was, who seemed a bit hesitant. "Lambert get the lead out." he growled, towards Lambert, who jumped once more.

Relaxing only slightly at the apparent false alarm Aseek turned. "Lieutenant Yaotome. If there is anything that has survived the years it'll be on the lower levels."

"And that's where we're going," she said in response. "Aseek. Can you show us the way to the underground complex?" She asked. "I suspect that the complex would have its own power source yes? A bit like a bunker?" She asked. If the complex below ground still had power then there was a chance they could still access the computers.

Aseek walked the area to get his bearings. Pointing, "There should be a stairway over there. As to the power, I would assume this place had backup power but that would ran out of fuel long ago."

A member of the security escort neares to the area indicated by Aseek check the area. It was dark but way unobstructed. "Looks to be clear for at least several levels."

"Scout ahead of us," Urushi ordered. She then reached into her supply kit and pulled out a wrist torch. "Let's go." She said simply.

Wallace and another member of his team led off down the stairwell in a staggered formation testing each step as they went. They kept descending until the came to the second level, it was then Aseek spoke up. The computer rooms and launch control should be on this level."

The corridor was dark, damp and quiet. Once pristine walls were nlw cracked and covered in dirt. Several plant life and roots had broken through and it was in an obvious state of decay. One room off to one side was nothing but rubble where the roof had collapsed.

Urushi checked her tricorder. "Parts of this underground complex seem to be unstable." She read out. "We might find parts that have collapsed or been heavily damaged. Keep a sharp eye out, there's no telling how structurally sound this place is."

The Trill Science Officer turned to Aseek. "Was this place built in hurry? Are there any water sources or geological fault lines near here? It may explain why some areas have collapsed." Urushi asked. "If you can remember any details, I might be able to predict which areas may have suffered damage."

He shook his helmeted head. "None that I knew of. Don't forget it's been almost 200 years since I was here last. Without anyone to maintain, repair, or rebuild anything this is pretty much what things should be like after that amount of time. I'm just hoping that the defiled have also decomposed over that time."

Urushi nodded. "At least we don't have to worry about any earthquakes." She replied.

The team came to a large metal door. It was badly twisted and seemed to have taken impact damages from the outside. An old dirty sign was above the door. The symbols were hardly visible, covered by dirt and grime. "I'm guessing this is the 'control room' by the look of the door?"

Nodding Aseek swallowed imagining what it must have been like behind those door all those years ago.

"It's taken some beating... looks like someone or something was trying to get through here." Urushi said as she scanned the door. "It's structurally stable. We're going to need to pry it open."

Looking at the door O'Riley offered an alternative "Lieutenant we may be hard pressed to pry a door open that's sat for nearly two hundred years. A focused phaser beam should be able to cut away enough of the door to make it passable" he suggested.

Urushi looked at her readings on her tricorder. "This part seems stable enough." She verified. "Want to do the honours?" She smiled at Liam.

"As you wish Lieutenant" Liam replied with a grin as he unholstered his phaser then made the required adjustments. Taking careful aim he started cutting the door only large enough for everyone to get through. After several minutes of cutting the cut part fell inward "That should make things easier."

Using two fingers Urushi signalled to the security officers to go first and scout the room ahead.

Both Lambert and Hudsen went cautiously forward shining their light to take a look into the room then stepping through. Lambert looked back towards Gonzales, gave a nod. Beneath the light from the two security guards, they looked to find a light switch to shed more light into the room. Lambert found one, and flipped the switch up.

There was no change in the lighting and it added it made the situation very eerie since the only light they had was from the wrist lanters or from their rifles. Looking down the corridor it was obvious the barricade there hadn't held.

There was broke glass everywhere mixed with other debris and the occasional puddle. Moving down the corridor they came to the first doorway. From the remnants, it looked to have been a secured areas, but he doors were ajar and he pushed it open. He swept the area with his light floor was littered with what looked to have been monitor frames and chairs, the rest of what ever furniture and degrade and broken down long ago.
