Mission: What was Lost is Found
Location: Ready Room / Conference Room
Timeline: MD 2 - 1600

It had been just over 24 hours since the away teams had returned and the loss of four of the ship security staff. The doctor's quarantine had passed and it was time to see what the Science Department had discovered and what if anything could be done.

The ship was still in orbit and Daegan had spent most of the day in the ready room reviewing the data information recovered by the away team and speaking with Starfleet command. Command didn't want, whatever this was, to spread any more than he did but was leaving the decision to him. While everything was going on he had had Sizia notify the senior staff that he was calling a meeting to review what they had learned and address any questions.

As the time for the meeting drew near he sat staring hat his holo-monitor at the frozen image from the recording from the station.

[Conference Room]

Rogers entered the conference room with a large mug of ice tea in one hand and a PaDD in the other. He'd spent the last day trying to piece together what they could of the footage from the interactions on the planet - specifically going over the attack on the security officers by the defiled creature. His goal was to do everything he could to make sure any further interactions would run smoother and with no further loss of life or infected individuals.

But, as he entered the conference room, he stopped. What was the protocol on this ship? Yesterday was the first real conversation he'd had with the command staff and didn't know Captain Baas very well. Was there assigned seating? A quick, furtive glance for department or place cards didn't reveal anything. He took a long drink from the mug to cover for him standing by the door, uncertain where he should sit.

The door to the conference room opened, Niami stepped inside. The chief counselor gave a slight sigh of relief, spotting Rogers.

"Oh good, I am not the first one here." Giving a warm smile of welcome "I am Lieutenant Niami Troga, Chief Counselor." she went to get a cup of tea. "Come have a seat." Taking one of her own.

"Thank you, Lieutenant," Rogers said, as he took a seat next to her at the table. "Can you tell me how Lambert is doing? I'm not sure if he completely trusts that he'll be given the time he needs to come to grips with what happened."

Then he grimaced and sighed. "I'm sorry, I'm Rogers, I've been named Security Chief for the ship. I should have started with that." He shrugged then reached into his pocket and pulled out an old, scarred baseball and gripped it tightly in his hand. "I'm just a bit out of my element at the moment."

Niami took note of Rogers holding onto the baseball, "Lambert well, has a few things to iron out so to speak."

Rogers pursed his lips and exhaled as he tossed the ball from hand to hand. "Certainly. Understood. Keep me updated, Counselor. Especially if there's more that I or my department can do to help."

Lieutenant O'Riley entered the Conference Room with a coffee in one hand, his PaDD in the other and gave his usual "Good Evening" to everyone. Scanning the room Liam saw an Officer he had not seen before and grabbed the seat next to him "Hi, I'm Lieutenant Liam O'Riley, Chief of Engineering."

"Rogers, SecChief," Rogers answered, realizing how little interaction he's had with the senior staff since coming aboard the ship at Utopia Planetia. He looked around then asked the Chief Engineer, "How does the captain feel about getting new drinks during briefings?"

"Nice to meet you Rogers and yes as long as you grab a drink before the meeting starts" Liam replied.

Entering the conference room next was Commander Hunt. In one hand was a cup of coffee and a PADD in the other. He knew that Captain Deagan had been on contact with Starfleet Command but had no clue what decisions had been made. Last night, he couldn't sleep with everything that had taken place. So, he jotted down some ideas and thoughts to be brought up at the meeting. "Good morning, everyone."

Once again the Captain's aid had stopped by his room to pick him up for a meeting with the ship's senior officers. Aseek still found it strange; he wasn't one of them and yet they accepted him and included him in their planning as if he was. The pair walked walked the outer edge on the ships command center and into the conference room were many had already gathered. Nodding to the familiar faces he took a seat and watched as Sizia moved through the partition and began crossing the lounge towards the Captain's office.

Niami didn't say anything more as the rest of those who had been called in, were arriving.

Though she did give a smile of encouragement to Aseek.

The data was still being analyzed but a preliminary report had been prepared per the Captain's orders and V'Laros secured his station and made his way to the conference room. Passing the helm he glanced to the Caitian, "Coming Lieutenant?"

"Right behind you." After closing the project he was working on he was up and only a few steps behind.

[Conference Room]

Hobbes entered as V'Laros was taking a seat and moved to the far side taking a seat once again directly across from the Pricari survivor.

A few minutes behind Hobbes and V'Laros was the ship's newly-appointed CMO, PADD in hand as he quietly assumed an open seat next to where the young Vulcan was sitting. Not like his presence was much of change from Doctor Cussen, of course, as- much like her- he had so far come off as a business first, socializing second sort of individual. Not that some people seemed to mind, of course, he was still very much a man of his duty, but for others who didn't know any better, he could be somewhat... intimidating to approach. And if he didn't seem particularly interested in starting a conversation, what was necessarily the point of others doing likewise?

Nodding to the doctor as he sat. "Good evening Doctor. It is pleasing to see that you are out of quarantine. How long do you believe Lieutenant Yaotome's recover will take?"

"Well, if I were to base that assessment off of past experiences, I'd reckon she still needs anywhere between three to seven days to fully recover," Ayumu speculated. "Sorry if it's not much more than a rough estimate, Lieutenant, but I made a point to Lieutenant Yaotome that it's going to be up to her as to when she feels comfortable inf returning to duty."

Taking in the Doctors assessment his expression never changed. "There is no need to be apologetic Doctor, a bodies recovery after injury and surgery while can be generalized is never an exact science and is further complicated by Lieutenant Yaotome's Trill physiology.

"That it is," Ayumu sighed, quietly reflecting on his conversation with Lieutenant Yaotome prior to their discharge.

Zane entered the Conference Room, PADD in hand, and headed straight to the nearest empty seat at the table. Being relatively new to the Senior Staff, he opted for a low profile though he couldn't help it when his gaze strayed for a moment in a particular direction.

Jules, who seldom felt ill at ease anywhere, followed him in, her gaze resting lightly on her husband before finding a seat of her own. She tucked one leg up beneath her as she sat and pulled out the PADD she'd been holding, intent on burying into a report or two until she was needed.

Niami took notice of those who arrived, when someone in particular arrived, there was a slight widened of the eyes, though she kept quiet. It was time for business at hand.

While the last few people arrive Daegan has paused while coming across the observation lounge as he turned to make a comment to Sizia, she hung her head slightly as he turned and the partition opened for him. Taking his seat he set a padd aside while Sizia stood off to one side. "Even everyone. As you all know the awayteam to the surface came face to face with what Mr. Tarnala referred to as the Defiled.

Looking directly to Aseek. "Sir, on behalf of my crew and even myself I want to apologize for ever doubting you."

Aseek looked to the Captain. "Thank you Captain."

Continuing, "So, the good new first. Commander Hunt's away team to the orbital station managed to recover a complete copy of the Pricari archive. To include all the data the Pricari had accumulated on the Defiled..."

Aseek hadn't been told of the discovery, having come to terms with the loss with what happened on the surface. He stared at the Captain then then to the Commander swallow hard. "Th..Thank you Commander."

Hunt simply nodded to Aseek.

Grinning the Captain continued, looking to Lt. V'Laros. "Lieutenant, as I understand the science department have been putting in some overtime to go through all the information."
